A leader needs to push for results, challenge the team to do more, and be realistic along the way. If the goal is too difficult and the team doesn’t believe it is attainable, they will give up and may quietly continue working without making progress. Assessing where that line is so you can push for optimal results without pushing into the danger zone requires courage and terrific listening skills. Easy to say, requires strength to do every day.
Same principles apply at home. Gardening can be enjoyable and challenging. It’s important to be realistic about the type of soil, the zone you live in, and the amount of time you want to spend on the garden. This will allow you to select plants that will being you pleasure and not become a burden. You will relish your accomplishment as it grows to meet your expectations.
