Calm, free from disturbance, tranquil.
A leader can add great value by staying calm in the face of a crisis. Listening to the team, stopping to think, and making space for ideas and options that lead to a logical decision. Easy to say, requires strength to do every day.
Same principles apply at home. Dealing with a family crisis and sleeping in the hospital four nights in a row can lead to fatigue, agitation, and disorderly thoughts. Needing to focus and make clear decisions, I found a quiet place and reminded myself that it’s okay to be peaceful and calm and think. People who are counting on me will benefit from the approach.
#enjoy the outcome.
